Handicap Parking Violations If you received a parking citation in violation of Handicap Parking, you have the following options:
If you do not choose to take any of these options, and the citation remains unanswered, the department is authorized by the State of Florida to submit our name, vehicle license number and violation to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in Tallahassee. DHSMV will then flag your vehicle license to indicate an outstanding citation. When you apply for a new vehicle license, you will be denied until the citation is resolved. Parking citations do not add points to your driving record. All Other Parking Violations You have the following options regarding all other parking violations:
