On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, the Duval County Executive Mayor Lenny Curry announced that effective Wednesday, May 6, 2020, all restrictions on the beach will be lifted. However, social distancing guidelines still apply and dogs are only allowed leashed on the beach from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily.

Please continue to remain six feet apart from other groups and keep your group size to below 10. The City is still in the process of hiring lifeguards and is operating with limited staff. If you choose to swim, please do so in front of a lifeguard and never swim alone. In case of an emergency, call 911.

In conjunction with City staff and other Beaches Communities, Neptune Beach will monitor the activity on the beach as well as continuously monitor data from FDOH and the CDC.
