Mayor Elaine Brown to Order Beach Closure

Due to life-threatening surf and dangerous rip currents, Mayor Elaine Brown is issung an Emergency Declaration ordering that the beaches of Neptune Beach be closed Monday, September 2, 2019, and continuing until the dangerous conditions subside.
The hazardous ocean conditions are likely to intensify to a point in which it will become too dangerous for Neptune Beach Ocean Rescue personnel to affect a water rescue. For safety purposes, we are urging everyone to not enter into the ocean.
