Beaches Town Center Holiday Celebration

Beaches Town Center Celebration
Event Date:
Saturday, December 5, 2020 - 4:30pm

This free, family-friendly annual holiday event will be a socially distanced team effort of the City of Atlantic Beach, the City of Neptune Beach, and the Beaches Town Center Agency & Merchants Association. And yes, festive lights will be displayed once again throughout Beaches Town Center! Click here to read the flyer.

With current health guidelines and Jarboe Park under renovation/construction, the Friday-night-in-the-park event with Santa is not possible in Neptune Beach, and the traditional bike parade, performances and activities set up throughout Beaches Town Center on Saturday is not an option, either.

The solution: A decorated Golf Cart and Bike Parade, starting from two locations and meeting Santa in his sleigh in Beaches Town Center. The mayors of both cities will light the traditional holiday tree at 6 p.m., and Santa and Mrs. Claus will gather the letters to Santa that will be collected throughout the community in special mailboxes in both cities. Everyone is asked to wear masks and social distance. The bags of mail will be loaded onto Santa’s sleigh; due to social distancing, Santa will not be having physical contact with the kids. As the festivities will end after dark, participants on bikes are reminded that lights on bicycles are required for the safety of all.

Parade Routes:
• The Atlantic Beach parade staging/start is at City Hall, 800 Seminole Road (Russell Park side) at 3 pm for a 4:30 pm start (Atlantic Beach’s traditional Christmas tree at the Police Headquarters also will be lit on Dec. 5.)
• The Neptune Beach Parade staging/start is at the First Christian Church, 2125 Oceanfront (Seagate Avenue & First Street) at 3 pm for a 4:30 pm start

Santa’s North Pole Priority Mail:
Put Christmas lists in an envelope addressed to “SANTA, North Pole Priority Mail”, then drop into the mailbox at these locations, starting Nov.1:

• Neptune Beach Elementary (for NBE Students only)
• Neptune Beach Police Headquarters (200 Lemon St.)
• City of Atlantic Beach Police Headquarters (850 Seminole Road)
• Atlantic Beach Elementary (for ABE Students only)

Be creative and festive as you decorate your golf cart and/or bicycle. Please tell your friends and family to join in the fun. Don’t have a golf cart or bicycle? The parade route is attached; come and join the fun by watching curbside.
